Overview

Cathy McLean shows there are no limits for FAers.

St Francis of Assisi said: “Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” For each of us, FA is one of the things we cannot change. But there’s no reason that should stop any of us living a full and fulfilling life.

Whether your ambition is to win a medal in the Olympics or to climb a section of the Great Wall of China or something more modest, you can do it. You just need to organise yourself taking account of your FA.

Probably the most powerful word in the English language is “help”. Almost always, if you ask for help, you’ll receive it. Here in Australia, it’s the objective of all levels of Government that everyone would have the opportunity to participate as a member of their community. Visit the tabs under “Living with FA” above and make sure you find out about and get benefit from all assistance offered to you to help you do just that.

And it’s not just Government who offers such help. Many companies do too. I’ve listed those that I’m aware of, but if you find others please let me now and I’ll list them too so we can all get benefit.
